March 18, 2009 - The 2009 Ellis County Fair, July 11-18, will be an exciting one! Great evening entertainment is a tradition at the Ellis County Fair. Ticket events include two nights of URSS Sprint Car Races and IMCA Stocks and Hobby Stocks Racing at RPM Speedway, two nights of KPRA Rodeo Action, a Combine Demolition Derby, Tuff Trucks and Four-Wheeler Races, and Hays Lion’s Club Demolition Derby.

This year’s free Midway musical entertainment lineup is the best ever! Don’t miss Heartland, Blaine Younger, Gwen Sebastian, and Plan B. As always, the Midway will feature food vendors supplying time honored fair favorites. Children and adults can also enjoy Poppin’ Penelope and her silly stilt walking, a stage magic show and balloon artistry, and Hillbilly Bob with his ’29 Model A Ford who has a story for everything.

The Ellis County Fair will showcase 4-H youth at their finest! Come visit the 4-H sewing, photography, cooking and livestock exhibits. Come share in the achievements and hard work of the area’s youth. Don’t forget to show your support for 4-Hr’s during the livestock sale on Friday, July 17th at 6:30 PM. Your dedication to our area youth is greatly appreciated!
