Cody Canada & The Departed
July 18th, 2013
Join us at the Ellis
County Fair for the 2013 Concert sponsored by Eagle
Radio of Hays featuring Cody Canada and The Departed.

Cody Canada & The Departed is
already making waves on the road. With the recording of
the album behind them and a brand new year in front, the
band has hit the road like only professionals know how
to do. As excited as they are about their gigs, they are
taking it all very seriously. “It’s funny because with
Ragweed we got to a point where we didn’t have to
practice. We were playing so many shows we could just
get up there and do the tunes, right? Well now it’s a
new band playing new songs so we’ve got to learn
everything, get our game together and practice. It’s a
whole lot of fun. I can’t sleep at night. It keeps me
awake, not from worry but from excitement. We’re just
ready to tear it up.”
Opening Act Whiskey Myers

Whiskey Myers’ musical style
was forged from several different genres of music from
several different eras. The most obvious of these are
the blues rock jam bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The
Allman Brothers Band, and Led Zeppelin. Whiskey Myers
takes the blues rock genre and mixes it with modern day
Texas Country such as Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers, and
Cross Canadian Ragweed to derive a new sound that is
sure to take concert listeners on an atmospheric roller
coaster. With a sound like no other and a stage presence
that captivates anyone close enough to notice, a live
concert performed by this young band is something that
must be seen to be believed.
