2014 President's Invitation to the Ellis County Fair
All American Flair at the Ellis County Fair – come on out to an American tradition and see what the fair is all about!
We continue our fair with many traditional events – the fair kicks off with two nights of races and then we move to two nights of KPRA rodeo on Tuesday and Wednesday. Register your kids early for the ever popular mutton busting! Thursday night will feature hot rod tractor and truck pulls. Friday Logan Mize will open for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and then on Saturday we will have the annual car demolition derby. These are just our feature events!
This year we are excited to bring a new carnival to our fair – Fun Time Shows. On the midway you can munch on a funnel cake or other delicious fair food from one of the many vendors while watching some FREE entertainment! The midway will have nightly concerts along with a kids and adult karaoke contest Wednesday evening. Pig Races will return this year – come watch those tiny pigs race around the track for an Oreo. You won’t want to miss it! Richard Renner will be providing all sorts of laughs and entertainment on the midway with his nightly shows. Don’t forget the ever popular Safety Fair on Wednesday evening along with the kids' pedal pull.
Make your way up to the Unrein Family building to cool off and look at all the vendors. While there have your child’s face painted or take a picture with the clown. Stroll over to the Schenk Building where you can see all of the fair exhibits. You will love looking at all the neat projects 4-Hers worked hard on.
All this great entertainment is brought to you by our wonderful fair sponsors. A special thank you goes out to those who support the fair in many ways. Your continued support means a great deal to us and we appreciate all you do.
I would like to thank all of our hard working volunteers that make the fair possible every year. I also want to send a special thank you to RPM Speedway for your work on the races and to the Ellis County Commissioners along with the Ellis County Employees who help us throughout the year. I look forward to seeing you at the 2014 Ellis County Fair!
