2013 President's Invitation to the Ellis County Fair
Cowboy Boots and Country Roots –
what a great way to describe the 2013 Ellis County Fair!
Throw on some cowboy boots and make your way to the
fair. We have this year’s fair filled with many fun
activities and events for the entire family. You won’t
want to miss our action packed week!
We will kick off the fair with two
nights of races and then we move to two nights of KPRA
rodeo on Tuesday and Wednesday. Are you tough enough to
wear pink? Thursday night we will bring you a red dirt
concert: Whiskey Myers will open for Cody Canada and the
Departed. Friday we will have the combine derby and to
round out the fair on Saturday, the annual car
demolition derby. These are just our feature events!
On the midway you can munch on a
funnel cake or other delicious fair food from one of the
many vendors while watching some FREE entertainment! The
Eagle Communications stage will have a nightly concert
and a karaoke contest. Your whole family will love
watching Professor Farquar and his medicine show or
Randy’s Music Jam. New this year are Pig Races! Kids and
adults will love watching the pigs race around a track.
You won’t want to miss it! Get back to your country
roots by walking through all the animal barns. The 4-H
kids are proud of their projects and would love telling
you about them.
Make your way up to the Unrein
Family building to cool off and look at all the vendors.
While there have your child’s face painted or get
something made out of balloons. Stroll over to the
Schenk Building where you can see all of the fair
exhibits. You will love looking at all the neat projects
4-Her’s worked hard on.
I would like to thank all of our
hard working volunteers that make the fair possible
every year. I also want to send a special thank you to
RPM Speedway and the Harold Dorzweiler Cancer Benefit.
Thank you also goes out to the Ellis County
Commissioners along with the Ellis County Employees who
help us throughout the year.

of providing this great entertainment for you. Their
