2011 Ellis County Fair Update

Thank You!!!

Thank You for making the 2011 Ellis County Fair a HUGE success.  Mark your calendars for the 2012 Ellis County Fair, July 14 - 21.

Letter from President John J. Smith

Load up the kids and fasten your seat belts, it’s time to take a spin through our 2011 Ellis County fair line up. Yes last year was an action packed week of family fun and this year will prove to be no exception. Our line-up includes; 2 nights of URSS Sprint car races with local cover classes and new this year school bus races, 2 nights of rooting tooting Cowboys and Cowgirls KPRA Rodeo, and to get your motor running the Missouri Tractor Pullers thunder down the track with hot rod tractors and pickups, and yes, our ever popular Combine Demo Derby with its rip roaring, bone jarring, and metal bashing excitement is sure to please the crowd and finally end our week’s events the Lion’s Club Demo Derby, as always a crowd favorite. Free nightly entertainment on the Midway with a variety of local and out of town bands and food vendors. This year our Carnival will have numerous arm band nights and discounted passes available to make family fun affordable. We invite everyone to come out view all the 4-H, Open class exhibits, along with our Commercial vendors. Please come out and see the improvements at the Fairgrounds, a new concession stand at the Rodeo grounds, reroofed livestock barn and bathroom facilities along with an addition to our seating at the covered livestock arena.

Thanks goes out to the Ellis County Fairboard, RPM Speedway, Midwest Deutshefest Assoc and all the many volunteers who make the Fair possible. We would also like to thank the Ellis County Commissioners and all of the Ellis County Employees who help us with the operation and maintenance of the Fair.

We would like to thank all of our many sponsors and as you visit their businesses please thank them for supporting the Fair. Their support makes all of this possible.

I invite everyone to come out and enjoy the Ellis County Fair and look forward to seeing you there and visiting with you.

Sincerely
John J. Smith
Ellis County Fairboard President
